Senior Software Engineer for SmartTV

As a Software Engineer working on our Smart TV application, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of a next-generation user experience for one of Europe’s leading video streaming platforms.
You will build highly interactive user interfaces, implement new features, contribute to technical decisions, and solve technical and production challenges across a wide range of Smart TV devices. The role combines modern software engineering practices, AI-assisted development, and the latest technologies in video streaming and delivery.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve a Smart TV application for live and on-demand video streaming.
• Build reliable and responsive user interfaces in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Implement new features, contribute to technical decisions, and investigate and resolve technical and production issues.
• Improve application performance across different Smart TV devices.
• Write maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Use modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools to improve software quality and development efficiency.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product and QA team members.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in frontend or web application development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience building complex, production-grade user interfaces.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of your work.
• Good written and spoken English.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Smart TV, set-top box or streaming applications.
• Knowledge of video playback, HLS, MPEG-DASH or DRM.
• Experience with performance optimisation on resource-constrained devices.
